What do you know about salvation?

What do you know about salvation? Did you know that it’s the gift that saves us? Did you know it's the gift that distinguishes us as Christians from other religions? Is Salvation what you truly know it to be?

What is the meaning of salvation?

Salvation is not about what you have chosen to do, but what God has done for you & what God has delivered you from.

The simplest meaning of salvation is to be saved by God from the consequences of our sin. When thinking about salvation it's about knowing what we are being saved from: sin and guilt.

God sent Jesus Christ to rescue us from our sin, and we all fall into the category of sinners Romans 3:23. We have all fallen short of Gods standards. That's why we need to be rescued from the consequences of our sins. Those are the principal issues the gospel resolves.

“God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not die but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to judge the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.” John 13:16-17

Salvation means to be saved and the good news is it's the gift that is free for all who believe.

What do you know about the salvation God gives?

Why did God give us his one and only Son?

God loves us and He desires us to be in a relationship with Him. He wants to be close to us however, He is holy, righteous and hates sin. Until we understand how offensive our sin is before God, we can never truly know Him. Through our human sin and disobedience, our connection with God was broken. So God gave us His son, to reconcile this broken relationship and restore us back to Him.

Salvation is the gift which God sacrificed onto us, His one and only son Jesus Christ because sin had overtaken us. The consequences for sin is death Romans 6:23 so because of our sins, we were on our way to eternal death. Yet God would not allow this to be the outcome because He loves us! This is the gift which God gives, this is Salvation.

Do you want to receive the gift of salvation today?

If the answer is yes, I would kindly like to guide you to repeat this prayer.

Dear LORD Jesus,

I know that I am a sinner and I want to be made new. I believe that You are the Son of God, who died on the cross and rose again to save me from my sins. Today I have made the decision to receive by faith You as my personal LORD and Saviour. It's in Jesus name that I believe and receive You from this day forward.

-Amen.

The bible says in Romans 10:9 "If you declare with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."

If you have said this prayer today & have believed, we want to welcome you to the family of God, we are excited about the decision you have made today. God has been waiting for YOU to start/restart your relationship with Him.

I enjoy helping people grow and sharing the truth found in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The world that we live in is hard at times, however it is helpful to know that we do not have to live in it alone. I believe we’re here to help one another and nurture each other as we grow!
